Are they all right?
Eeeep!! What happened Kam?
And more importantly, are they both OK?
Is everyone ok ?
oh god looks like were all off 2day.
how are they?
This is what happens ...
When some muppet in a Saab decides to stop in the middle of the A85 without indicating and dithers over whether they should or shouldn't pull into a lay-by!
what about the riders
are they ok?
there's a man standing in the pic turned away from the camera who has a scuffed left arm, I presume he had the off and is ok? Can't see Sky though, is she ok?
**The good news is **
..by some miracle both Glen and Sky are ok with minor injuries .
The bad news is both bikes look like write offs.
Sky ..still a bit in shock ...not knowing what hit her ... what actually hit her was a Triumph 675 ...from behind with considerable force. The triumph's front wheel was totaly broken by the impact. :-
glad to hear there both ok.
bikes can be repaired or replaced.
Thank feck they're both OK! Written off bikes (and yes it does look that way from the pics) can be replaced, people can not.
Give my best wishes to Sky please.
Looks like Glen's insurance owes her a nice shiny new bike...
thank god they are all right
were you with them?
Will the insurance pay for the bikes?
we can be repaired to a bit but not replaced. just hopeing thay are all ok.
that knee doing sky, go and get it checked out, if its sore the now you'll be in agony tomorrow and even if ok the hospital will give you good pain relief
kam, my knee is now about the size of my foot and very stiff along with my elbow but apart from that im ok. My leaters, helmet boots and gloves are beyond help. I saw mine and skys bike in lix toll garage, mine is definately a right off but sky's may be repairable. saying that with it being 3 years old they may just right it off aswell as the back end is pretty mangled.
All i care about is that sky's ok, i know it was an accident and no ones fault really but i still feel very guilty. Cant believe it happened after 5 years riding, was always very proud of the fact that i hadnt crashed. Steve is coming round to mine next week to have a memorial service for the triumph.
Triumph Daytona 675 R.I.P july 2006 to july 2009. A loved and cherished bike that I will never forget.
and yes the insurance should be paying out for it all. No reason why not so hopefully sky will get a new bike out of this.
**The Saab stopped in the middle of the road **
..Patrick swerved round it ...Stewart hit his anchors and signalled to Sky behind ..she brakes ...but Glen following on behind and coming over the brow of the hill runs full tilt into the back of her ... Sky's bike was punted from under her and spun off the road, end over end ..Glen and his 675 hit the tarmac and also spin off down the embankment...... Meanwhile the Saab driver had decided not to stop in the lay-by after all ...and drives off, - oblivious to the carnage created behind him!
Firstly, I'm glad everyone is ok, The bikes can be replaced, But did'nt anyone get the registration number of the 'Saab' ?
I was reading this and my heart was actually pounding mate! Thank god your all ok and bugger the bikes as long as your all safe and relatively well.
Did you get the Saab's plates? Failing to stop at the scene of an accident methinks?
Give my best to Sky and Glen and hope they're not too shaken up. Its the last thing she needs with the recent job search.
Glad to see that you all made it back home,Hope sky and glen feel better soon after the crash, and it was turnning out to be a brill rideout too till that TWAT in the SAAB done what they did, even had scare myself going back home with this TOSSER in a VOLVO kept moving over and blocking me off from getting past, any way hope to meet you all again soon will keep eye on forum for any more rideouts.
Did you say brow of the hill
so the Saab driver chose a pretty dangerous spot
if you have his number plate, I reckon that's a dangerous move and something should be done...
Best wishes to Glen, get well soon and sorry about the Daytona
I am sure I speak for most when I say that are thoughts are with you and Sky.
_glad to hear there both ok. _
bikes can be repaired or replaced.
Thanks ...sorry to hear you also had an off today ..hope you are ok too ..as you say ...the bikes don't matter really ... it's the people that count ... there were some lucky ecapes today ...if either Glen or Sky had had their legs caught between the coliding bikes it would have been a very different story!
