I own a BMW K1200GT 53 plate this is a great bike for touring although I have been thinking lately of parting with bike and buying something a little lighter, but I want a bike thats good on touring and good on the twisties, not too expensive and good fuel economy and needs to be at least 1000cc I was looking at a Triumph Sprint ST but my wife says the pillion seat is inadequate for her Any sugestions? Thanks Tacky.

What about the deauville
The new NT700V is supposed to be a good 2 up tourer - not so sure about the twisties though.
How about a 1250 bandit,i`ve had the 1200 and the gsx1400 both without chain stretch, the 1250 has 6 gears now.
I agree with jaffa90....
Take a look at the Bandit 1250.
Good all rounder.
We really need more details of your partners dimensions to properly assess the best pillion ride ." />
Failing that the Bandit is a good choice
you can't have all those things in a bike over a 1000cc.If you want something lighter leave the missus at home.
Kindle not a fire that you cannot extinguish.
CBF1000-GT - absolutely cracking bike. full panniers & top-box too, so good for a bit of touring. Definitely try one out. The NT700 is ok for light touring/commuting but if your two up its pants as its puny engine couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding!
