End of the Hastings May Day Run??
I don't think that it's right to say that "there is nothing to worry about as there will be too much pressure from everyone".
If we all sit on our heels and wait for other people to fight this - then nothing will happen, and those that want to scrap May Day will get their way.
This government has show that it is susceptible to pressure if enough people make themselves heard. That's why I'm hoping that people here will join the campaign, and not just leave it to a bunch of Morris dancers to do the job. " />
A very simple thing to do would be to sign the petition our local MP is putting together against the change. she's a Tory, but she's onside with us on this one, as she knows how much people here care about this:
But best of all - spread the word - there are thousands of bikers that descend on Hastings every year, and everyone here is delighted you come, and do our best to give you a warm welcome. It would be a shame for us to let somebody out an end to that for their own silly political reasons, and to go down without a fight.
