I was knocked off my bike today around 17:20pm. I was going home on my usual route home. I was traveling on the A61 from Sheffield
towards Barnsley in the right hand lane of the dual carriageway as i
A white car pulled out from across the other side of the road coming
from Chaucer Road towards Wilcox Road and didn't see me. I braked very
hard and hit his back passenger (offside) wheel. I came of the bike
onto the floor.
I got up, picked my bike up and wheeled it onto Wilcox
Road where the White Car had pulled over. An ambulance was called for
safety and to check me out. I have a bruised side and ankle and my bike
is a scratched a little bit on the nearside, the forks / handlebars are
a little out of line and some liquid came out of the bike when it fell
on its side, also the bar end on the nearside came off. I rode the bike
home very slowly and noticed the front brake is very juddery and the
handlebar was out of line.

I'm not that bruised up but it really shook me up before this i managed 7k without any problems, just down to this idiot who didn't look properly. I could see him coming at me so good job i started braking quick or I'd be over the bonnet or in his back window.
So I've reported it to the insurance and got his details at the time.
What would you advise me to do?
Definitely new helmet time though, although i can't remember banging my head it was that quick it might have so best be safe than sorry i think?
Was a bit scary mary lifting a bike from the floor on a dual carriageway road like a game of frogger.
