Cheep good reliable bike
I have a motorcycle business and we specialise in what we think are affordable quality used bikes. We have a bandit 600 which was a commuter bike and is in great mechanical shape with service history and only 2 owners on a "P" plate. That's up for about £800 with MOT and Tax till next April. I recently found a good XJ600 for a customer which we sold to him for £500 with 12 months MOT.
Hopefully those examples will give you an idea on what it is possible to get for you money. Experience has taught me that even what seem to be good bikes at first look have faults which need attending too, buying from Joe public as we do of course has it's pitfalls when it comes to faults discovered after you've bought the bike.
We have to accept them if we missed them on first inspection, put them right and give a guarantee that they are fit for purpose when we sell them, better to refund, fix or replace in our view.
If you are willing to do some work on the bike it's possible to get something in the £200-£250 range too, be careful though as it might cost you more in the long run.
Hope this advice helps m8.
