It should be ok if the hole is small and in the treaded area and say up to 2mm dia.If the hole is bigger say 5mm it should be mushroom plugged and vulcanized (glued).
Bigger than 5mm not worth your life.
POST YOU BASTARD
Grrrrr, getting angry now...
You can get sealant designed for tubed tyres.
They're quite popular with tubeless tyres where they work very effectively but they're not quite as effective in tubed ones.
Slime for tubeless tyres is an example of one of them sports bike shop has it.
I used puncture safe on my tubeless tyres and never had a puncture (that I knew about). Without it, I had three in a short period of time.
Im not the only one
Do you find that this site will not post if you ether have copied something in or just randomly wont work
**Tubed tyres **
usually run lower pressures and tend to be fitted to lighter, less powerful bikes. I'll quite happily repair a tube with a cycle patch on either mt C90 or my XT250.
No need to do anything with the tyre other than check the cause of the puncture is removed. Assuming your on spoked wheels, check the tape is in good condition and there are no exposed spokes that will repuncture the tube.
