The idiot is at it again
After raving about some car that "can be heard over TWO MILES AWAY, yippee, yahoo, etc" the silly looking car journo went onto say that "bikers should be shot in the face" for having loud motorcycles. Clarkson is a bigot and is a negative voice in motoring - he should be banned.

just signed, w00t! number 145!
We did this
People here like old Jeremy.
Anyone else who maligned bikes the way he does would get shot down in flames here.
Seems it's OK for a car journo.
Wonder why that is.
His wife has a Ducati so maybe she is ugly and that's why he mentioned being shot in the face..LOL.
seriously for once
didnt hear the comment about being shot in the face previously so I've signed. Disparaging remarks are one thing but thats in bad taste 0/10 jeremy for that one.
can be annoying - thing is he says many things to provoke a reaction but it is mostly tongue in cheek and usually quite funny.
Trouble is some hair gear fans live for Sunday nights (worringly) and dont get his humour - these are the ones we should petition against. you know which i mean - the ones who attend the show in Ben Sherman shirts and waffle on about tiptronic gear boxes and copying the moppy ones jokes..
he's gone too far. I used to like the man and the show but I won't be watching it any more until he is gone much to my wife's joy I'm sure).
I have submitted a formal complaint through the BBC website and have asked for a response. If we all do it we can get rid of him.
Or we could just all go round his house one day...
Hook, line and sinker
Dont you lot not realise he say`s things like that for this kind of reaction!! Signing a stupid petition will just put a big smile on his face and make him say some more comments.
You lot need to just chill and not react, he would soon stop! Why do a load of bikers watch a tv programme for cars, and then complain when they dont see any bikes?
I signed the petition, have a look
Double standards or what.
If some non biking Lord of the Manor in leafy Oxfordshire had made these comments, you'd be demanding he be hung, drawn and quatered.
You gotta laugh at the double standards we apply sometimes.
Imagine if Ken Livingstone said bikers with loud exhausts should be shot in the face, on national TV.
Would you be laughing quite so loudly then.
I think not.
Has it exactly right. You all fell for it hook line and sinker. JC loves petitions, they get him a pay rise every time. It's not double standards neither and the likelihood is that, like Lord Peel, he didn''t actually say what he was quoted as saying
The way you get at people like JC is to completely ignore him. Who gives a sh*t what anybody says anyway? What they do is important.
Anyway, it doesn't even apply to me as I'm not a real biker.
Too true G
If anyone else said it, then they'd be brought to task on it.
If Clarkson suggested some minority group who's lifestyle may be down to choice, such as gays, should be shot then he'd also have to answer to the top brass.
Thing is, get a reputation as a joker and some morons will then dismiss everything you say as simply joking. As the saying goes, many a true word said in jest.
I'm not for censorship, but can anyone answer why Kilroy should get dragged over the coals for making sweeping generalisations (but not actually promoting violence against a group) while Clarkson gets to suggest all types of violence against a minority group knowing full well a good percentage of his audience lack the brainpower to distinguish between being serious and joking?
The difference is
that the vast majority of Clarkson's audience agree with him and would do the same given half a chance.
Nobody likes bikes, ffs we don't even like each other.
the only trouble
with the petition is some of the spelling will fall right into Clarko's hands
"discusted" for example - i mean i realise typos happen often and keyboards are not the largest for some of us (me with my sausage fingers), but ffs, he will latch onto that sort of slip like Jodie Marsh latching onto any bloke with a pulse!
what a sad bunch some of you are
JC makes a daft comment about bikers and oooooooooowwwwww teddy out of pram time, spit the dummy and up go the arms in dismay and the petitions get signed.
How often on here and other bike sites do car drivers get slated by bikers and threats made to do all sorts of evil things? How many on here have actually done something to a car or car driver for upsetting them? plenty. So ffs, get a life and take it as a joke or maybe if youve lost your funny bone just get over it [and yourselves] and move on.
and yes I did go on that petition site and make a comment or two.
he spouts this stuff like an over-grown schoolboy... so what ? Surely everyone realises he just likes to provoke a reaction & that is what he has done...making too much fuss plays straight into his hands..more grist to his publicity mill....
O.K he's an annoying wind-bag ...& his vocal delivery gets on my nerves...
but this is not worth getting your knickers in a twist over...
... who is this Jeremy Clarkson you speak of...?
JC. An asshole.
Sgt, u from the states yeh?
JC tv car program presenter. Everyone laughs at him, he hears people laughing with him.
just read this thread - how dare you call me PC.
I have never been affiliated in any way to either the local cuntstabulary nor the masons...
Thought you knew me better than that - I'm hurt....
Now think if we were actually given a truly public forum to spout our anti-car rantings?
What if we were on telly saying car drivers should be shot? What do you reckon would happen?
Good point about bikers doing things to cars, but last I heard cars were inanimate objects. If Clarkson had said,"I'd love to let the air out of bikers tyres" or "I'd love to loosen all the fasteners on their fairing" then it'd be comparable, but he didn't so it isn't. Fact remains that he suggested violence against a minority group and while he MAY have been joking, some of his less intelligent viewers might not think so.
So it comes down to a simple choice; right to reply on the same level or level the playing field some other way, which unfortunately would mean someone telling him to keep it down a bit.
Aren't we being just a little too sensitive?
Water off ducks back matey.
