I was thinking about buying an ER6N but have found they have a semi dry sump. Allthough i have not heard of any problems with them. As i service my own bikes i am concerned about oil and filter changing.Is there any thing else to do apart from draining and refilling with oil? The reason i ask is I have only ever owned 1 Dry Sump bike in my 41 years of riding [early 70s] which siezed 1 mile after its 1st oil change so i've avoided them like the plague ever since.

remove drain plug,remove filter.
renew filter,refit drain plug,add 2 litres of oil (check and adjust if necessary). Job done.

Just like a wet sump then [which i've done hundreds over the years]doesn't need priming or anything,which was the cause of my 350 AJS seizing,new oil sat in the oil tank,bone dry engine.
