The OE Bridgestone rear tyre on my 2009 Fireblade is in need of replacement, the front is good for a few more miles, do I have to fit another BT015 or can i use a BT014, BT016 etc? if so what would be your recommendation? i don't commute purely leisure riding.........

If you check the Bridgestone website you should be able to find our which tyres can be mixed. I believe that tyres from the same range are usually OK. If you have any doubts email their customer service department. In my experience you will always get a prompt reply.
Had the same issue on my RR8 Fireblade a couple of years back. The BT015 front was only half worn but i was advised by a number of tyre companies and also Bridgestone NOT to fit a BT016 rear with an 015 front. You need to move up the the BT016 or BT016 pro's now and fit a new pair. Thats unless you want to go to another manufacturer. The BT 016's are a vast improvement over the 015's anyway!.
