There is no legal requirement for an ACU stamp in order to sell a helmet. All the ACU stamp means is that the helmet has been approved for use in motorsport. To be honest, the system lost all credibility a while back anyway when it was discovered that you could just buy the stickers over the internet.
yeah thanks. i have spoken to shop where helmet was from and they have said same, offered to send me a sticker if i wanted one.
I had the same, what was your helmet type?
Making sure it is afe
Look on the SHARP site and that will tell you how safe your helmet might be in a crash. I have a Caberg Justissimo with no ACU stocker and that comes up as 4 out of 5 while my Nitro with an ACU sticker is only three out of five.
