hi all, my son has just bought a 2000 sv650. This has got a Leo Vince exhaust fitted. My son wants to wrap the exhaust, one of the reasons is to hide a bit of rust that he cannot remove. I am not sure what this does, or if this is a good idea. Would this be suitable for a bike used all year round in all weathers? I am sure there are many pro's and con's but would like to know more on this before we decide whether to do this. Many thanks for any help on this.

it will look crap plus water will get stick in the stuff.
just get a 2rd hand silencer off ebay as load that cost about 20
As far as im aware exhaust wrap is used on cars to keep temperatures down under the bonnet to keep power levels up on tuned engines.
Over time it will go brown with the heat and especially on a bike it will soon look worse than abit of rust. Unless he's going to replace it every few weeks i wouldnt bother.
