ok got mod 2 test tomorrow, had an extra lesson today as i felt i needed to iron out a few problems, and if im honest i felt the lesson today although problems were ironed out went crap, main reason is the bloody radios, all i can hear is crackling and barely any instructons, i have bought this up with the instructors but still hasnt helped, anyone got any tips im worried it may screw my test up, i am going to take my headphones with me tomorrow just incase the ones the examiner give me are just as bad although im hoping not.

If you are paying
and equipment isnt up to standard you must speak up.
See if you can do a quick radio check before you start mod 2.
They wont believe you if you say at the end of the test that you couldnb't hear instructions
you wont fail your test
for missing or not carrying out a command..............you will if you misunderstand and carry out a dodgy manouver............rull of thumb..........keep going straight on if you dont hear the command clearly............do not swerve at the last minute to try and make up for an unclear comunication" />
will have a different radio from your instructor anyway, and s/he'll do a radio test anyway (mine did at least).
As ally: doing the wrong thing correctly is better than doing the right thing wrongly.
I had to stop during my test because I couldn't hear the tester. I pointed to my ear whilst riding and he asked me to stop on the side of the road. He changed the battery on my intercom and we continued the test. I actually passed my test then so it's deffo not a fail if you can't hear them. As others have said the intercom they use on the test is the DSA's kit rather than the training centre.
thankyou for the comments, radio was 100% today and passed with 2 minors, would have been a fail if it wasnt for a pedestrian telling me i left my indicator on whilst sitting in traffic, obviously a biker whoever he was i owe you a drink...happy days now the search begins for a bike
(instructor did see him warn me and gave me a minor for it)
Bet you're feeling good. Take care
Try to be a sparkly unicorn, not a miserable cow.
and here's to many happy biking years ahead" />
**Radio Test **
They did a radio test for me, so I wouldnt worry
and good luck with the search! Its definietly a buyers market out there at the mo!
Lost out big style on the er5 but in a sense not too fussed coz the guy that bought it was a lovely bloke that very much needed a break from life's crap....
