You can prob
guess where my vote goes...
I own 2 GSXR750's.. a 'Y' (2000) model and a K6. The K6 is a rrack bike only and totally awesome.. more power than the 600 in the same frame/body, seriously nimble and light to flick around, makes the 'Y' model feel cumbersome by comparison... But that's newer than you're looking at.. just demonstrating how much I LOVE them! " />
When I bought the 'Y' model in 2002 I was similarly torn between the GSXR750 and the ZX7R.. In the end it was easy, The GSXR was newer, better, lighter and after riding both felt a lot more suitable for me.. I found the 7R was a long reach to the bars but I heard many stories from many folk about how 'planted' the front end is.. it did feel good. I loved the look of the 7R and in truth wish I could have had both.. but I couldn't.. So the GSXR won and I was never disappointed ever.. It still looks good and is easy as pie to work on, plus there is still an abundance of parts available for them in bike-breakers all over the country.
That's 10 years ago and I still ride the GSXR all the time, it has
73,000 miles on it, same engine just well loved and I think it will just
keeeeep going, it's been all over Europe, track days, work commute
etc.. flawless and brilliant machine.
You are looking at an SRAD
(1995) aren't you?? My mate had one.. it was that bike that made me get
mine.. my mate's was the same, an awesome, comfy, reliable machine that
never let him down either, he loved it too.
I think me and you have the same taste in bikes mate cos I always liked the look of the 98 Blade but in truth I'll probably never buy a Honda in my life.. they just don't do it for me.. Never ridden a blade so can't really comment but I know Honda's are generally supposed to be EXTREMELY reliable, and good at what they do.... If a little un-exiting!!
Hope this helps.. Good luck!
