i got yamaha xj6 diversion from new. had the first 600 mile service i look in the service book.it say 1 year old.but is it 4000 mile intervals just need some info
intervals mean 1 year or 4,000miles whichever comes first.It`s a warranty/recall issue.
Go on what`s the mileage now it`s 1 year young?
My understanding is that the service interval is every 6000 miles or every year on a Yamaha Diversion - At least that's what the downloadable Handbook is telling me. If your handbook states something different you should follow that.. (You should have a printed copy for your bike but if you haven't you can download them for All Yamaha Bikes by going to Yamaha Motors website, selecting motorcycles and then Owner Manuals and specifying the exact model (Confusingly the Diversion is a XJ6-S but not exactly sure of the year of manufacture) if its 2010/2011.

If it helps
the schedule for the later Yamaha FZ6 (Fazer) is 6000 miles (Europe) or 4000 (USA); I'd imagine the XJ is similar to that.
