My 2001 ST1100 won;t start, due to, ethanol fuel fouling the carburetor (per the dealer) . Have had the carbs cleaned twice since spring and it won;t start again. I called the Honda Corp. service dept. and they claimed they had never heard of such a thing. Am i the only one who has this problem? If after getting the carbs cleaned again, could i avoid this problem by disconnecting the fuel pump and running the carbs dry every time i park it for a week or so?

dealer sounds iffy to me, did you buy the bike off this dealer? More info needed - is bike kept somewhere very hot so that fuel can evaporate quickly?
There would be a lot of people moaning if vehicles stored for a few weeks fouled their carbs.

Not enough specific details to believe anything up to now. I think some more in depth details may help,such as how often are you running it,how many miles are you doing,what fuel have you got in it,and just how bad were the carbs before they were cleaned?
Welcome with a hidden profile,it sounds to me that your 11 year old tank has been sealed and the ethanol is killing it.Who evercleaned the carbs twice since spring is taking you to the cleaners.

What option do i have? What do you mean that my tank has been sealed? I have access to a 1 quart tank that was used as a fuel source when balancing carbs on mysons old Suzuki. I was thinking that i might try using it to try to start it, as even with all of the attempts to start it, i do not get a smell of gasoline, so i don't think it is flooded, altho it should be after all of this time trying to start it

Flushing the tank ? or fitting an inline filter
It should have an in line filter,
it can`t be the fuel so i suspect your tank,pipes or filter is being affected with ethanol.
No smell of fuel,have you disconnected the fuel pipe at the carb inlet and switched on to see if the pump and tap diaphragm (if fitted) is working?
