Hello lads hope ye might shed some light on this or
point me in the right direction.
I have an 01 k2 bandit 600 which sounds like
an offbeat subaru boxer engine until about 3k moreso when warm. Its fine after
than and goes like stink from 5k on
Here is what is done to it-
clearance adjusted 400 miles ago
2 timing advanced about 3 deg
4 needles shimmed .47mm
5 balanced carbs last week-perfect
although i have heard i should leave slightly more air into the 2 outside
cylinders--anyone else heard this??
6 throat removed from airbox
needles out 2 turns
8 carbon can
standard air filter,clean oil and about
1000m up on the plugs
the carbs and seals are all clean and perfect.
then i took the baffle out of the carbon can and it made it much worse and added
a load of small pops and farts off throttle-there is air getting in at the
collector box so id assume where thats coming from.
So guys any ideas
what might be causing the lumpy low range???
any help would be greatly
