spoilt by it being filmed in portrait?ffs
firefighting didn't stand a chance!......
"Come on, let's go watch the fire"
"I can't hear"
If it ain't fun, don't do it
was one hell of an explosion, but why do people hold their camera phones in the upright position? I think it's called vertical video...idiots
to be 2.1 on the Richter scale.
Now if I was to be topical and a little less sensitive, I could say something witty about fertiliser bombs and Brighton
**There's going to be **
an interesting comparison between the Boston bombing and this.
Boston - 2 bombs; 3 dead (so far); 170ish injured; a huge amount of money is going to be spent catching the perpetrator(s) and nothing will be done about the easy access to weaponry in the US.
Waco - the death toll is going to be high (unless a complete exclusion zone was instantly created around the fire), safety procedures clearly weren't up to the job; an investigation in to responsibility will be carried out and nothing will be done about the routine lobbying of Senate to influence any restrictive regulations (not that I'm insinuating that lobbying occured in this instance!)
The shit's really hit the fan this time around
it only killed 5-15 people. Loads injured and I'm sure some horrific ones among them but I'd say that's an impressively good death toll. Most were probably emergency services which suggests to me that their emergency evac procedures were reasonable if nothing else.
chemical fertilser and ammonia, not manure!
phil, if the death toll stays at that figure it would be a pretty big let off (with respect to those already confirmed)....the sheer size of the explosion was enormous. Beggars belief why such a factory with such a potentially lethal cocktail was located so close to the town is plain crazy!....just luck that it wasn't in the daytime with the school open, doesn't bear thinking about!
