Got up early this morning took the scenic route to Bala, over to Dolgellau up to Porthmadog to Bangor, Betws-y-Coed and back to the hotel.....It rained all the way.... .... Guess what...? it's sunny now...might go back to the Ponderosa for a chip Buttie.
I Love Wales.

know that stretch quite well....
lived that way for a bit many moons ago.......the rain does kind of spoil those roads all to often, though nice place to live.
was i right about the chip buttys ?
just the best
A483 newtown to llandrindod wells on your way back Mate.you'll thank me for ever
A483 is good from newtown to Llandod, bloody awful to Builth the other way..hate it..roll on Newtown Bypass..;)
A470 is good to Llandovery from Abergavenny through Sennybridge/Trecastle etc..(I too am local)!
well, twice a year..
I did that road, on advice from diablere.... During my trip home...it was very good apart from the awful shellgrip on some of the tightest bends. I also liked the B4391 from Bala to Pennybontfawr.
have to admit it was a bit dull from Newtown to Oswestry though. very straight! shame really as it would have linked up with the north wales roads nicely!
usually i crank across to Craven arms from Newtown a lot more interesting
Is it me or....Is your life ...one big pub crawl...
funny you should mention that! usually a boozer involved somewhere!
well its Barton Bike night where i Live so be heading there tonight. (5-30 departure)
