Sos folks.. It's about cars, but I need opinions...
2 weeks ago I called my insurer cos I need windscreen replacement due to a crack, I have 3rd party F&T..
When I called to ask if I was covered I was told 'yes, and you will need to pay the £60 excess' and the girl put my call thru to the windscreen co who made the date to come and replace it then they texted me the confirmation... Great!
This was nearly 2 weeks ago, the replacement is due for tomorrow afternoon.. this morning I was called to say I am not eligible for screen cover and so would have to pay the whole price.. like £250!!
So I'm involved in a dispute now and am expecting a call soon from their customer services to discuss it... But I see no reason why I should pay full price after being told I would not, their agent made a mistake and they are not accepting it, I've been called back by 3 different people all saying sorry we won't cover it... I have refused to pay more then £60 point blank!
Them refusing now is rubbish isn't it? They surely have to swallow the mistake and pay up (they are a massive company)
Anyone have any thoughts on this pls.. asap!
