hi everyone i have a kawaski gpz 305 i have a problem with it and don't know how to fix it. the problem is it won't run unless it is on the choke and it keeps cutting out when reved if anyone can help please let me know

Welcome loughy94, most carbs have choke / pilot / and main jets which let fuel pass through into the engine with air. Pilot / choke jets work mostly up to 3,000rpm, above this rev range the main jet/s come in. It sounds like your pilot jets are blocked. If no joy above 3,000 rpm your main jets are not working and if it`s a cv carb the diaphragms could be perished.
In other words the carbs needs sorting and maybe the fuel tank is rusty inside.
Has this bike been asleep for a while?????
