I was thinking
of using the weekend to mount an L85 onto the front of my bike to discourage people sitting in the outside lane, not doing anywhere close to the speed limit and not overtaking.
FOR EVERY DEMON THERE IS A PROPER PLACE IN HELL.
We're going tomorrow .......... taking back roads (local knowledge)......Exmoor is my very special place.... I've been walking, riding, Driving and Horse Riding there for Years........ Thursday will be like Spain in the Winter.......
always handy to have local knowledge....
'kin heaving on the A52 to Skeggie today.." />..and as if to say "lets F*ck with them" it was also tractor city !
sounds like a bloody good Idea...... can I suggest the A34......... Tiz full of them........
Is just an idea as to how it'll look. Thinking about using a hand guard with an RIS rail on the bottom (they make them now so you can use a vertical grip) so I can use a minimi mount and perhaps some kind of ram mount to connect to the screen. The rubber stock end means it doesn't scratch the tank and grips nicely. The STANAG magazine is a little long for easy reloading. Thinking of a drum magazine as well (although would probably have to upgrade the firing pin and charging handle to an A2 spec) to allow for sustained fire as shooting one handed whilst riding is going to be quite hard. Might also need a steering damper to handle the recoil going into the front wheel.
The biggest problem is that the charging handle is on the wrong bloody side for reloading whilst riding. I'll probably also take off the optical sight and replace it with some easy to use iron sights or a red dot.
What does everyone think? I could resort to having a pillion as a tailgunner and mount it on the top box but I'm not insured for pillions.
i think pillion insurance would be the least of your worries. take it for a trial run through Leeds ,let us know how you get on.
Phile ....is that an SA80....?
in your garage.........or are you just pleased to see us....?
an SA80 L85 A1 yes. The sight is an ACOG with a killflash on it. It takes some hiding from the neighbours when moving it from flat to garage.
It's an airsoft replica and therefore legal.
Just bought a new Remington Rifle......got it zeroed in to the nearest Millimetre.......... my 12 year old son can shoot the WD 40 Spray tube off at @ 20 Metres.......... (His Grandad was a "Marksman" in the SBS....Mind ).........bless
My airsoft gun is somewhat upgraded for accuracy. I can often put holes within holes. Obviously it has nowhere near the range of a proper gun but there's a different skillset needed to use them as you have backspin put on the BB which has to be adjusted for optimal range and depending on if you're using it short, medium or long range and have to adjust aim a lot more for wind, etc. It's not so much of an issue on mine as I just spray around a bit but for "snipers" who are operating at the limits of what's possible with these things it's a different ball game entirely.
I'd love to have a properly accurate rifle with a decent scope and test myself at proper ranges but I've no way to transport it and on top of that my free time is usually spent recovering from work.
As long as he can shoot the hat off a Russian when they finally get around to world domination...
Working on Friday
but free to play after that. The only place I'm definately going to be is the classic bikeshow and bike jumble at Ashford Market on Monday. Full of junck and rubbish, along with the odd treasures hidden amongst it all. Best buy last year was a brand new pair of Richa ladies gloves for £5.
I meet people I haven't seen since last autumn, when we had the last bike jumble of the year. I normally spend most of the day pottering round the stalls and catching up with everyone. Mr B usually picks up a lot of business there. He always has a shopping list a mile long for his customers, too. It's going to be a busy day
