I have a Bmwr850r I carry my wife as pillion all the time when I am stopping the bars pull over to the right at the last second as the bike stops. I v been riding all my life I never had this happen until now the bike is in very good condition I am a mechanic but this eludes me. Is it me ??
Pulls over to the right

Does it pull even slightly over to that side when not breaking? Could be maybe uneven tyre wear? Or your steering bearings?
Is it the bars pulling or the bike? Has this bike had a spill?
Front pull to the right (or rear to the left?), I would check if the rear wheel is in line with the front wheel. Are the wheels vertical and not tilted (don`t ask me how to check) single side arm?
Are you carrying luggage on the right side?
Is the left pillion footpeg higher than the right?
Does it pull when stopping with the rear brake?
Pulling to the right
Does it do it without a pillion onboard??
If as I believe this bike has twin discs at the front I would check the front pads to ensure both sides are as they should be, and that the right hand caliper is not grabbing.
assumption is the mother of all f*** ups.
