I never noticed until I finished reading...Good one
I've been trying to up/down whatever load a video for the last 2 hrs. Oldish has given me step by step of how to do it......can i......can i flip.
PCs going through the effing window soon
I tried to find an online tutorial for you but mostly they just show you how to embed a video, it's not the same.
When you are watching a video on YouTube and you want to post a link to it on here, first of all highlight the YouTube web address at the top. You do this by left clicking your mouse anywhere in the writing in the address bar at the top of the page. (On this page it reads, www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn/community/forums/categories... etc, etc.)
This should highlight the address in blue.
Then right click your mouse anywhere on the highlighted text and a menu will appear with several choices on it. Left click "copy" on this menu.
More to come...
Next you come onto this site and either start a new thread yourself or open a reply box on someone else's thread.
Type whatever you want to say and at the point you want the link to appear you can do one of two things..
1. On most browsers, Internet explorer included, (the blue 'e'.) You can just right click in the reply box and on the menu that appears just click on "paste". This will insert your link into the text. Then submit your post.
2. On Chrome (the colourful circle), at the point you want the link to appear you have to click on "insert link" As shown in MCN 1
More to come...
What you will see next is shown in MCN 2
At this point you right click in the "URL" box and then left click "paste" as described earlier, this will insert the link into the box. Then either repeat the same action in the "TEXT" box or you can left click this box and type a short reference to the video, eg "Cool Wheelie," etc.
Don't touch the "TARGET" box. Then click on Insert link at the bottom.
Then finally submit your post as normal
I hope this helps you!
I should add
This applies to absolutely any webpage you want to post a link to on here, not just YouTube videos
Thanks for taking the time to explain.
