Absolutely awful behaviour from a bike shop manager...
So who is in the wrong here?
Full story here:
In the wrong
Both of you. Neither of you made any attempt to defuse the argument. Reminds me of the levels of maturity seen in a school playground.
So you habitually park in their customer parking bays but you don't go in? Bit cheeky that.
Surely bikers stick together and there was plenty of space
Maybe a bit naughty parking outside, didn`t you go in the shop for a quick browse, It would have looked a bit better... However that manager handled that situation terribly... It was good to see you park up after the argument to cool off, no riding when you having a strop..
No one is innocent but some are more guilty than others,,
Thank you, I would never risk anyones safety by riding in an emotional way
Hey Boozehawk/Helen Brown
Im a member here as well and would just like to itterate that you are a cnut. You are getting no real support from the majority of members of every bloody bike forum you have joined just to try and get Ian sacked. Grow up you moron. For anyone else whos interested or not, J&S are a decent bunch, this idiot went out of his way to goad them, bear in mind he has been asked several times not to park in customer spaces as he never actually goes in to buy anything when there is a perfectly adequate large car park about 30 feet away from the shop.
If your not going to smack the guy in the end its just pointless drama.
I park where I like with in reason and never had that much drama once had a security guy ask me to move my bike in case a kid climbed on it as they seen it coming out of a shopping centre but he was decent about it still left it where it was because there was a place to lock it but was all done diplomatically met half way. Put my cover over it there for eliminating the looks of the bike. No arguing no hissy fit just said no but will put cover over it and its parked there to chain it to something no obstruction not close to the door at all and went into the cinema. Being blunt works.
But words to live by "you can get more with kind words and a 2 by 4 than just kind words".
Not knowing the full story, it's pretty cheeky parking on the stores property and not even going in for a look, although the manager could of handled it better. He should of just calmly asked you to move your bike, then rung the police. I'm fairly sure they would of forced you on, without all that drama!
The guy was sacked today, this was the whole reason that this idiot has posted and trolled on every bike forum, what he failed to mention was this, he had been asked on several occasions not to park in the customers spaces when he was buggering off elsewhere and never going in the shop. he had been arsey with the guy who went out to ask him initially and demanded to see the manager, he was abusive and admitted he was wanting to goad the manager which he did by beng insulting about his dead mum. once he wound the manager up he then turned on his camera.well done him
why is it ok
for a biker to park on a bike shop premises with no intention of being a customer....i drive a Ford but dont park at the Ford garage to pop to the shops in the town ! ........always wary of folk arguing the toss with a 'go pro' at hand, smacks of causing an argument to get a reaction, bit like this dickhead, who frankly want skewering by one of those bayonets.
EDIT....just seen scorps post, hope whoever posted that is proud of themsleves.
Well, this is the most immature thing i've ever seen. Well done for ruining a guys life and potentially his familie's if he has one. You sir, should be ashamed of yourself.
Is this behavour what we would expect from someone who works with disadvantaged and disturbed people??? Now we know why most social workers are wankers
where do social workers and people who work with disadvantaged come into it? bit of a strange argument. Still if he was attempting to goad the shop assistant he didn't have to respond. Best to ignore the attempts. I try not to fight about parking. especially where I work. I'm really not that passionate about parking that I'm prepared to fight about it.
I'm guessing he must have mentioned it on one of the many sites he posted this tale, or Scorps knows a little more because she is from that neck of the woods?
I agree with you, the manager should have walked away. I wouldn't have wasted my breath on the tool.
I particularly liked it when it descended into 8year old speak... " I bet you've only got a BMX", "no I've got a fucking R1"
Still, ya got to feel sorry for the guy losing his job, especially in the current employment crisis.
should have done what a business man did round here a (good) few years back with a persistent parker.got the stacker driver to 'hoik' it onto the canopy above the door.when the prick had paid someone to recover his bike he never parked there again." />
Kindle not a fire that you cannot extinguish.

Looks like the wrong person lost his job - a social worker acting this way is quite disturbing.
The manager should have just gone back inside when the insults started, waited for boozehawk to leave, and then pushed the parked motorcycle out into the street for the plod to ticket for illegal parking.
Be here, or be someplace else!
Rarely a day goes by without me wanting to punch a customer in the face until they Fcuking Die..!!!
But unfortunately this is not aloud..
The manager really should have gone back in the shop.. Its a shame he has lost his job..
I`m sure both parties have learned something from this unpleasant episode... .
No one is innocent but some are more guilty than others,,
Losing his job
Is unfortunate, I really mean that. Perhaps a bit of retraining in customer relations along with a warning would have been better. But who can say there haven't been complaints made about him in the past?
No matter what was said to him, if he was goaded or not, a retail manager just should not ever stand outside the shop shouting and swearing and getting into arguments with people. If it's your own shop, do what you like but if you have bosses above you then you need to act like a manager.
Neither party come out of this well
. Manager shouldn't be shouting and swearing at folk on the pavement outside his store. ... and OP shouldn't be posting vid all over the net in a mean spirited crusade to lose the guy his job.
If only both of you had just stopped and thought 'what would Jesus do?' life would have turned out better for one and all.
