just wondering if anyone knew a phone number that you can get for mce insurance tried phoning them it was 20 mins to get to talk to someone about why they have took two full insurance payments out of my bank then she put me on hold, 30 mins later i gave up waiting and hung up tried emailing them they have ignored that too, i will think very carefully about insuring with them again. why are insurance companys useless. i thought with how big mce is i wouldn't have any problems with them, how wrong have i been.

A few guys have had problems with MCE. It looks like they are best avoided.
They do not answer their phones at all. They claim you have accidents when you haven't, refuse to send out certificates of no-claims and send ridicuous renewal quotes (£248->£1800!).
Will never go with them again even if they were the cheapest by miles as you would get exactly the same BS if you were trying to claim.
saynoto0870.com loads of numbers there.
but closed now, heres one i found, always press the option for sales though- 01933351515. good website to save money on calling these prats. found out i was paying £3+ for just 30 mins to get my money back off of them, will give them a bollicking on monday.
Bunch of c*nts
Dont bother with them I took them to the ombudsman as they are thieves.
Just go to the ombudsman or your bank, see if they can claw the money back.
Cancel the policy and go elswhere if you have been sucked in by them, such cack service wont fill you with confidence if you even need to claim
I dislike them with a passion and hope no one insures with them.
this lot are a bunch of idiots,[nice words, not like the ones i usually use where mce are concerned] same thing happened to us, we have 2 bikes in this house and have both with them at mo. you cannot contact them, only if its the take money line, then they answer in 25 seconds. this lot are arseholes, how come they advertise in motorcycle news, dont know about you, but that is sort of why we went with them, bikers paper ect. bet your as sick as me of hearing their poxy ad on the phone, mce smiles better, your kidding me!
I'm not sure if these guys are incompetent or thieves? Phoned up to get my no claims discount and spent 30mins on hold whilst they tried to understand why a claim was outstanding on my policy which pre-dated the policy with them and related to my car not my bike and had been 3rd Party @ fault from day 1. They also then told me that I needed to send proof of No Claims Discount which had already been sent and they even had the policy number on their system. The call centre agent was actually trying to be really helpful however I think companies systems/process had seriously let her down. Advice - you can only call the sales line if you want to get through to someone, and ideally try and avoid them if you can. I did however find out that you can attend track days etc whilst on hold so worth capitalising on if you do risk taking a policy out with them.

Recommend aviva for motorbikes (up to 4 motorcycle, interchange) & direct line for cars.
4 years later, and adamjs is still on hold.
