This is my first post so sorry for my stupidness in advance.
I am going through insurance comparison websites in anticipation for picking up my bike in a few days and I have a few questions.
- I currently hold a Full UK Driving licence and have completed my CBT at ProScot. Am I correct in thinking my situation is best described as 'Provisional' from the following list:
- Full UK Motorcycle
- Full UK Moped
They ask me 'How long have you had your provisional licence', can I just enter the 5 years, since thats how long I have held my car licence.
I also want to know if my 5 years of 'No Claims Discount' for my car can be used in conjunction with my bike insurance. Im guessing not but wanted to be sure.
Do you guys think that 'Key Cover' and 'Helmet & Leathers' protection is usually worth it?
My cheapest quote is £520! is this normal for a new 23 year old rider with a 125 CBR, I am assuming that the 'sports bike' thing is increasing it a wee bit. The cheapest annual price has a massive excess (Seen below). I wont be riding everyday, do you guys recommend that I just get 3/6 month insurance rather that 1 year.
Cheers for your help in advance
